Hi guys, hopefully you can help me with this one. I bought a 2014 vRS TSI, and I’ve noticed this “humming” noise when the car is off. But yesterday, when I parked the car at home, got out and locked it, besides the humming there was also a high pitch “electrical” noise which stopped after around 10 or so beeps. Have your heard anything similar or might know what it is? This is the video from yesterday, you can hear the humming and the high pitch noise. The high pitch noise stops and the humming continues. Other background noise is from the water pipes in the garage, don't mind that. Any help is greatly appreciated! IMG_8451.mov

@Breezy_Pete Was able to provide me with a build report for my car. Many thank's Pete! This however, has generated a couple of questions... In the build report it states the following: However in a video the dealer sent me, the infotainment systems has the "NAV" button. (sorry for the low quality) Is it possible that the infotainment is a navigation unit, but without that option being specd out? And it also mentions this: Package "RS CHALLENGE" I tried searching for this, but I only get results from 2019 onwards which is when an Octavia Challenge Pack car was unveiled. Does anybody know what this pack entailed in a MY2014? Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone, I just bought a Skoda Octavia vRS TSI from 2014, and after reading quite a bit here, it seemed the general consensus was to use erWin for getting as much information as possible about the car including a build list, for a 1 hour flat rate. I ended up paying for the one hour access, but unfortunately I wasn't as thorough as I should have been in reading through this forum. As it turns out, the build report is no longer available to private people, as I am simply greeted with this message after searching for the VIN: It is not possible to call up vehicle data. Please contact your workshop or the importer responsible for your market if you require further information. Would anyone be able to get me a build report (what options were chosen for the car) through the VIN? And perhaps any additional information about the car's history, if available?
