Skoda Octavia 2015 1.6tdi cxxb Estate. Anyone know what are the correct parts for the rear engine mount? looking on ebay, they have an upper, lower and a bar. Some are different from others Or am i better going to Skoda? any help much appreciated Thanks

Whenever you add mph digital display you need to to change back to UK gallons in maxi dot. This is a non maxi dot car, so just seeing if anyone has had a work around yet.

Little update Incase anyone else has the same issues, I've now unplugged the mass air flow, and it now drives the way it should ! I've not purchased a new one yet, but is on order. Just need to fix the temperamental engine knocking noise now lol

Just had a look at the 1.4 tdi dsg toledo. This is the new se model (base). In the boot, it's flat, the battery is still under the bonnet on this engine. There is a black and white touch screen stereo,5 inch. It looks terrible, they should have just left it as a normal single din stereo. The new stereo looks like and old black and white tv, remember the ones you used to get with a 12v adapter lol

wont they have to remap the car to the 'true' emissions settings etc etc ?

mine has now got the same symptoms , 1.9tdi bxe engine 200,000 plus miles lol low revs, it coughs a little bit, but after coughs, out comes the smoke ! ive jusr replaced egr valve, thinknig it could be that, but still the same. anyone with any other suggestions ? cheers

the sat nav is pants compared to the old one . its only 5 digit postcode as well lol , the older head unit was very clear, but the new one is unclear, to many menu's on screen etcetc

Seat customer service just got back to me, and started my vehicle doesn't come with front cornering lights and illuminated black dash insert. I then asked, can you please tell me the model of toledo that comes with black illuminated dash, she replied none. I then asked her, to check there own website, and the spec of the car, that she did, and all of a sudden says, "I'll get back to you sir" Pathetic attempt to fob me off, but to be honest, the whole seat experience, from dealers to customer care had always been terrible since I've being using them. I know allot moan about skoda dealers, but, I've yet to find a good dealer with seat.

No, don't think so, it's too intense. I'm turning a little to the turbo, but that was only replaced a few thousand miles ago, and it is really a loud metal to metal knock, If you hold one of the air hoses, you can feel the vibration right through the engine. It done it again tonight, started it up, noise for around 10 seconds, then it cleared.

Did your engine sound like banging on tick over,? I'm having a banging noise from mine on tick over, sounds like 2 or 3 cylinders, thought it was big ends, but disappears after 10 seconds

My octavia has/had a strange metal to metal banging noise from engine bay. It feels as if the car is running on 2 cylinders and the noise sounds like big ends. This noise was only happening for the first twenty seconds when starting, then it would go away. It then done it permanently, so I thought engine goosed (it's done 235000 miles lol) I started it up tonight to move it, and the noise started for 10 seconds then disappeared ???????? I then took it out, and played hard with it, and it drive fine. Obviously can't be big ends, I'm stumped to what it could be . It seems to blow a bit of black reek, but unsure if this is down to the noise, or just the mileage. Could the egr cause this ? I don't think it's the turbo, or the flywheel. Any help or guesses appreciated.

Can't believe anyone would grass on any driver for squeezing through a barrier ! Let alone report them to there licencing authority, Jesus! Unbelievable springs to my mind. Sorry, I'm forgetting, the poor airports have lost out on a few quid, which THEY charge, for anyone DROPPING off there customers.

You could be right, I know for a fact, the Octavia was the best taxi made, over 400,000 miles on them, doh I'm still looking for cars at the same price, spec, reliability and size as the t toledo, but, I can't find any. Maybe you could guide me to some
