Hello!
I’ve been driving a 2020 Superb iV for about a month now. Unfortunately, I’m experiencing serious issues with the park assist system. I’m hoping someone might have encountered similar problems and could offer insights.
After acquiring the car (I’m the second owner), the rear camera started behaving oddly. Sometimes the screen appears distorted, reminiscent of an old TV with poor reception. Other times, the screen is split in the middle with the two parts switched - the bumper appears in the top-mid section, while anything behind me is displayed in the lower section. (Please refer to the attached images for a clearer understanding.)
The most significant issue occurs when driving on the highway (over 120-130 km/h) - or at least it happened during higher speeds all the time. The infotainment system displays a message similar to “parking system camera currently not available” (Note: My car’s interface is set to my native language, so this may not be the exact English phrasing). Subsequently, the entire park assist system stops functioning. If I press its button, it briefly appears before reverting to the infotainment screen. Neither the camera nor the assist functions work.
A quick restart of the car doesn’t resolve the issue. I have to shut down everything completely, close the car, and start from scratch (to reach the loading profile state) to restore functionality.
My infotainment system is running version v0330, so I don’t believe there’s a software update available to address this problem.
