  1. I've had many a car not just 1 manufacturer but this is the first VAG car I've had and the first like this either reverse is down or has had a lever, and I agree it's a bad habit resting my hand on the gear stick it's one I'm going to have to get out of thanks
  2. Thanks for your reply.....It's a bad habit of mine to be honest I've always driven with 1 hand on top of gear stick but oddly I never had an issue in the demo I drove. I've always been a Vauxhall man myself I used to love my zafira.
  3. Hi I'm new here and new to driving a Skoda. When I took the dealers diesel Karoq for a test drive I was taken back at just how great it was drove like a dream. My Karoq is the 1.5 SE petrol as it's a motability car I could only have the petrol.I have found since driving mine that the reverse gear doesn't have a leaver on the gear nob to engage it, instead you push down and select reverse. I find this really annoying because I'm forever putting it in first gear or when I'm selecting first I often get reverse instead. I can't understand why it wouldn't be like every other car I have had were there is a leaver that you pull up with your fingers and select reverse that way, I was wondering if it's just me who has this issue. Thanks
