  1. Hey all! It seems a VERY common failure point of many Skoda vehicles: the boot struts. My Scout opens partially opening the boot with the button, beeping a lot along the way, to actually open I'm having to keep pressing the button while pushing the boot up manually to get it to open, and a similar process to closing. A mechanic said it would cost thousands to replace! Surely there's a fix by installing good old fashioned manual boot struts / a button to lock / unlock. Have people done this, any tips or guides?
