  1. Thanks for all the info much appreciated!
  2. That is a bad run indeed. It’s the top mount that has gone bad on mine at the moment. It just feels a waste taking everything apart to get to the top mount and not just refreshing the whole lot while I’m in there.
  3. Perfect iv added the knuckle bolts & nuts to my basket along with the hub nut just to be safe. Dose the coil spring have a cup to sit into at the top of the assembly or dose it just sit on the top mount bearing housing?
  4. Hello all. I am about to replace the front shock absorbers and top mounts on my 1.2htp Fabia. I just want to check that I have all required parts before I start the job and that I’m not missing anything. I’ll attach pictures of what I have currently. I currently have: •Bilstein Front Shock Absorber. 1.0/1.2/1.4 x 2 • Sachs Coil Spring x 2. • Suspension Strut Support Bushing with mounting accessories x 2. • Bump Stops for the Shock Absorber and Front Dust Seal Febi x 2 If I’m missing anything I would great full for any information. Thanks.
  5. Might have a look around see any of scrappers have and of those instead. Thanks for the Skoda emblem part number I might be able to swap out a vw badge using it.
  6. Ya I actually tried my local scrap yard today they only had 2 fabia’s in the yard and both were missing the 1.2 12v part. They must have used pound shop superglue in the factory to stick these on because they seem to be missing more often then not.
  7. Hello. My 2005 Fabia 1.2htp’s engine cover/air box is missing its 1.2 12v plaque that is normally affixed to the top center of it. Does anyone know if the center plaque can be purchased separately or is it only sold with the full air box. I’ll attach a picture of the exact part I’m after. Thanks.
  8. Ok thanks for the help. Was a bit worried when I saw the cranking current capability was hight.
  9. Hello I recently went to Halfords to get a new battery for my 2005 Fabia 1.2htp. They gave me a Yausa HSB012. After comparing it to old battery in the car the markings on top of the two batteries seem different. I’ll attach photos of both batteries below old vs new. Is the silver Yausa battery the correct replacement for this car and engine? Thanks.
  10. Thanks a lot for the help getting the part numbers. Unfortunately they seem to be unavailable to buy on the site. Part number should help trying to source them elsewhere.
  11. Car is a 2005 model combi. Don’t have the vin handy right now.
  12. Hello. Dose anyone know the part number or where to source the outer window weather strip from the front doors on a Fabia mk1 combi? I’ll attach a photo of the specific part below. Thanks in advance.
  13. I checked which caliper was fitted and it was the FSlll so from the above comments it’s fitted with the 256mm disks if it has the FSlll caliper.
  14. So basically for any type of upgrade at all the bearing housing has to be changed. And you’re also saying that 256mm is the largest disk that’ll fit the FSlll the 280mm won’t fit with the standard setup?
  15. That’s great info guys thanks for that. I wasn’t aware that the whole bearing housing would have to be changed as well. I’m not 100% sure if it has the FSlll calipers on it at the moment that’s something I’ll have to check later on today. If it doesn’t, do the FSlll calipers fit into the standard carriers on the mk 1? And would anything else need to be changed to fit them 280mm disk with the FSlll calipers?
