Interior lights not working
Thanks for sharing John. I'm going to try and repair mine using a jumper cable like Jeremy has done, when I can get round to removing it. Can the light unit be removed on it's own, or does the whole assembly including the sunglasses holder have to come out also?

Infotainment Upgrade Options for CarPlay
Thank you, I'm not able to send a PM yet but will share here and edit later. It's TMBK**************** VIN removed to help prevent plate cloning and other nefarious activities. Please use the internal messaging service to share vehicle ID Thanks, Briskoda Admin.

Infotainment Upgrade Options for CarPlay
Hello, Earlier this week I picked up my 2015 vRS and would love to upgrade the infotainment system to something newer that supports Apple CarPlay. The current one has navigation, but no CarPlay with a USB connected. I have done research and based on my glovebox unit having an optical drive, suspect it's an older MIB1 unit and that I'll need to change both that and the screen. Could someone confirm what my upgrade options are? I'd like to retain OEM navigation if possible, but have no plans to fit a virtual cockpit. Also, is there any benefit in selling the older unit and screen to offset the cost of the upgrade? Attached a couple of photos, thank you in advance. Chris.

Interior lights not working
Hi John, I picked up a 2015 vRS today and have discovered the same issue I think you've reported. Each of the map lights work individually but when I toggle the main switch nothing happens. Nothing happens when the doors are open either - odd.

Superb IV Estate with 3 Kids & Luggage
So a couple of weeks on, this is exactly what I've done. I'm collecting a 2020 SEL with the TDI150 next week. In the end I missed out on the iV I originally posted about due to delays with the sale of my existing car through Motorway. When looking at alternatives I found there were many more TDI examples available in my budget.

Superb IV Estate with 3 Kids & Luggage
Thank you for the replies, super helpful. It's a second car for us (Daily is a Model Y) but will be better for the road trips we have planned as we'll be visiting some rural places where we can't fully charge the Tesla. I'm thinking if the boot space of the IV is slightly too small for one case, we could consider a roofbox.

Superb IV Estate with 3 Kids & Luggage
I've been scouring the market looking for a Superb Estate for a few weeks now and will finally view one this week. It's a 2021 1.4 IV Estate with FSSH, SE Technology with DCC as optional extra. I understand the IV loses a little boot space due to the relocation of the fuel tank - we'll be doing a road trip as a family of 5 a couple of times this year and have 5 cases. Do any similar families struggle with the boot space? The other car I've had my eye on as an Audi A4 Avant but I understand the Skoda has a larger boot.

Considering Superb Estate PHEV (2020 / 2021)
Hello, I've recently sold my Corolla Hybrid to get something with a little more space for three kids and a lab. We do a lot of short journeys so diesels are a non-starter. I've been put off with smaller engines in large cars and was initially looking at an A4 Avant with the 2.0 TFSI but I'm thinking I could get a newer Superb with the 1.4 TSI PHEV engine and similar spec for similar or less money. I've had a variety of VAG cars over the years both petrol and diesel but know nothing about the PHEV engine. Are there any common issues with the engine or the car that I should be mindful of? I also have a Tesla and Ohme Home Pro at home so I can charge it no problem but wondering on those longer trips we do, will it charge like the Toyota system does? Does the engine cut in and out on it's own as you drive? I'm assuming with 200BHP+ that it'll handle a full family with dog and luggage without an issue. I'm a licensed ham radio operator and will be doing some of this from the car, something I don't do in the Tesla due to the glass roof and it's a lease through my employer. Thanks in advance for any input.
