Hi All,
Penny for people's thoughts, took my car- Skoda Octavia VRS Estate (2022) into dealership for 30k service and first MOT. Driving fine and no issues at all on arrival at dealership. Service and MOT completed and passed without issue, 10 minutes after MOT, its brought off the ramps and has EML on. Diagnostic says it is MAF sensor, upon further inspection, there is apparently oil in the MAF sensor and must be a leak in seal on the turbo. Service Manager very keen to stress it is nothing that they have done. New turbo and MAF sensor ordered, and 3-4 days in a hire car. There is 7 days on the warranty so apparently I should be thanking my lucky stars, which I am to a degree, but can't seem to fathom it? Car goes in fine for a service and MOT and now needs a new turbo? Any thoughts from the group? Cheers.
