It has no audible sou ds, like indicator or lights on audible warning, dash lights flickering, dash lights staying on very very dim, mileage displays flickers or turns of and on along with the clock

All after days of testing I finally found the issues with my mums car, the cluster unit needs to be repaired, and the clock spring needs replacing, my question is does anyone know best place to get cluster repairs done. And how hard is replacing clock spring Thanks all

The steering wheel has not been taken off ever

I will remove the cluster and check and clean the terminals. She has owned the car from new (23years) and has done 30k in that time. The car always has moisture inside, i presume the door seals are knackered

I'm thinking from what I jave read this is all related to the ecm

As title says, my mums car has numerous issues which I think could be related. First the indicator s work but make no noise, if you leave lights on and open door also no chime, the horn isn't working, relay isn't clicking, and some of the lights on dash stay on at all times even when engine off the lights are very dim as of they have an earth or something somewhere The car drives fine and all the lights on dash light up normally then go out, but some of the lights on dash stay on as mentioned when driving it the also flicker

So you think it may be the alternator? I will go check it with my volt meter, the battery light does go out when started like all the rest, but as mentioned some are staying on very very very dimly lit thanks

Also the horn isn't working, and I don't seem to hear a clicking from the relay, do you think this all could be related 🤔

Update, I have the car at minute and realised it's not just the airbag light, others on the fash are on constantly, they are very very dim, but are on

Hello all, thought I would ask here if any of you may have a solution for the problem with my mums car. It's a fabia 2003, and has had very little use, because of this her battery recently died, she had a local mechanic fit a new battery, but the next day it was dead. The mechanic hadn't tightened the earth terminal, cut to the chase i tightened it and it all seems OK, except the airbag warning light is on ALL the time very very dim, even when engine is off. When the ignition is switched on the airbag light illuminates like normal then goes off, but it stays on very very dim. It's hard to explain, but could the instruments have an issue like a bad earth or solder
