    Apologies, I appreciate that a 195/55/R16 isn't really a space saver wheel and tyre but it happens to be one that I purchased new for my Skoda Yeti less than a year ago. As it's only for emergency use, I'll give it a try and check it clears the brake callipers.

    I've just purchased a Mk4.5 Octavia which is on 205/55 R17 tyres. Can anyone tell me what size space saver I need in particular would a 195/60 R16 be adequate?
