  1. Breezy_pete, that was my first thought that it could be the head gasket but I’ve not lost any coolant, which I know is only one common symptom but it’s normally a tell tale sign of the head gasket being gone. and I’m not sure why the misfires would then stop after changing the coils and spark plugs unless unrelated?
  2. Hi Nta16! Yes so all the services have been at the correct time however the car only went 2000 miles between 2022-2024 but still serviced. Currently using the Castro oil recommended for the engine, but I’ll definitely take a look to see if others seem to work better. Cylinder 1- 125 cylinder 2- 135 cylinder 3- 80 cylinder 4 - 75 id like to point out the car did start misfiring but after changing the spark plugs and coil packs for uprated parts, this has stopped. The car is booked in with a Skoda specialist on Tuesday so I’m hoping they have come across this issue before. At this point I’ll take anything but piston rings!!!
  3. Hi guys, I have a MK2 VRs on 66,000 miles which is burning oil at quite high amounts. Just a run down on the car: 2013 CTHE engine code completely stock 66,000 miles Oil breather pipe changed fully serviced. displaying low compression in cylinders 3&4 but completely fine in 1&2. Blue/grey smoke coming from exhaust mainly at Idle. I’ve heard replacing the oil jets also helps but I don’t think this is my issue here, is it more likely to be valve seals or could it be piston rings at this low mileage? Any advice on fixes or just general information would be helpful
