  1. In that moment rpms are dropped for about 750rpm or ~1000rpm with gear engaged ? (as you can as on video i posted)
  2. I thought there might be some icon on dashboard when hill hold activates so i thought i dont have one. To be honest now that makes a little sense for me, delay like this makes a room to actually get my foot from footbrake into accelerator ? I need to check that again but if i remember correctly my car could get a little roll forward during that so i dont think thats how hill hold works Yeah im gonna check that again, thank you all for suggestions!
  3. 100%, nothing about hillhold function in settings, also no icon on dashboard. This engaging delay happens only on uphills, thats why im concerned about it. On straight road theres almost no delay, gearbox sets D or R immedatiely. Can anyone with Dq200 try to do this and let us know what happens? I mean if you can go to some uphill, completely stop, put R and take the leg out of brake right after that. That could let us know if my gearbox works odd or this is normal behaviour for dq200. edit; There should be something about hill hold function in options right? Or at least some icon on dashboard? Or am I wrong and that function is hidden without any notification ?
  4. https://streamable.com/wukg8w I recorded short video about it, I have no idea why it doesnt have any sound but basically when video starts I fully release footbrake. As you can see nothing happens for about 2 secs then boom, gear engaged and car is reversing. It happens only when I reverse slight uphills. When Im on straight road gear engages immedatiely(no matter if its on D or R).
  5. I know you have 1.6tdi and that could be way different but if you reverse uphill by a brake and you press that too hard that car completely stops and you start releasing brake your car will move immedatiely ? Or theres a little delay after releasing brake ?
  6. That 2014year Octavia comes with no start/stop system at all When im crawling RPMs are around 1000rpm, when it disengages gear(by pressing a little too much brake) rpms drop to around 700rpm (same situation if you stop and fully press brake). Then when a gear is engaged again rpms rise to around 1000 and start crawling again. Normally engine behaviour. I watched some youtube pov videos and this is basically how this gearbox works. My complain is about 'improving' it to better work, better comfort of parking because these 'issues' are about very low speeds / footbrake crawling for parking spaces. Driving 'normal speeds' is as smooth as butter, if you close eyes you wont even notice when it changes gears. But yeah, I have some complains about crawling especially uphills Dq250 was so good about crawling, even slightly move on brake pedal would give immediately car moving with no delays at all, always was ready to go. Thats why im a little frustrated about it and trying to find any solution - if theres any
  7. Cant edit my last post so im gonna ask if theres a possibility to change value in vcds or dsg soft to make it disengage after 2 or 3 sec of heavy pressing footbrake? Not doing that immediately after pressing footbrake. That would be a solution for that
  8. You are propably right I remember that DQ250 gave instant acceleration/crawling when I was releasing footbrake, like no delay at all. Idea of clutch disengaging while im waiting on red line isnt frustrating but parking precisely (crawling on footbrake) and getting disengage because of a little too much pressure on footbrake is annoying as hell, doing that on uphills can even roll my car before it engages gear again (tbh parking even slight uphills are the main issue of this, I dont mind getting a little of that delay on straight road parking).
  9. Hey everyone, I own a 2014 Octavia 1.4tsi 140 (chpa) with dq200 210k km car mileage. Ecu+tcu stage1. Dsg drives so smooth, you wont even notice when it changes gears. Its all great but I have one little issue with clutch disengaging. Previously i've driven dq250 and there wasnt such thing as clutch disengage when I fully pressed footbrake, basically car was always ready to go while releasing footbrake (crawling), there wasnt any delay. I was thinking if there is an option to disable that function of disengaging clutch by pressing footbrake, its a little annoying especially when reversing(crawling) uphill to park a car, sometimes when I use too much pressure on footbrake clutch disengages in a middle of parking and I need to wait about 2 secs to engage gear again (that 2sec delay happens only on crawling uphills). If im doing that on straight road gear will engage immediately, but this disengaging is still a little frustrating. Sometimes when Im waiting on a red light I do little press on footbrake (no autohold/hillhold) to get that gear engaged all the time to get that smooth immediately start. One day it was hot around 33-34 celsius and gearbox didnt do any clutch disengage on footbrake, it happened to me few times and it was only when temperature was above 30-31C and that was great to be honest. Immediately response on crawling when releasing footbrake. I wish i could have that all the time Im sorry if something is written wrong - english isnt my main language, I really hope you understand what im trying to say.
