  1. Hey everyone. I've had my 2006 Skoda Fabia MK1 since 2021. 1.2 HTP 64cv, 120,000km. For a few months now, it hasn't been able to start on the first try. It happens randomly, not every day. The engine warning light is displaying, with error code P0116. I have to hold gas for 20-30 sec, or the engine stalls. Sometimes, even after 30km on the freeway, temp gauge do not move, or like 20min of driving, the engine temperature gauge goes from 90°c to the minimum in 10 seconds for no reasons at all. My mechanic has changed the temperature sensor, as well as an another sensor. However, the car is still not starting properly, and the engine light is still showing. In his opinion, it's the engine control unit (ECU). Do you have any opinions? I've already read on the internet that some mechanics put the blame on the ECU because they lack ideas and are fed up with the car. Thanks in advance ! skoda.mp4
