  1. Odd thing with rapid spaceback is his price and lack of some must have equipment in todays cars (in my oppinion). Fully equiped 1.2 TSI elegance would cost me 18.800€ (give or take 100 or 200€). Fully equiped Leon FR 1.4 TSI would cost me 20.600€.
  2. In Slovenia 1.2 TSI 77kW Rapid Spaceback with Elegance trim costs 16k€ in presales, meanwhile Rapid costs 16,5k€. I took the prices from skoda configurator.
  3. This car has only one mistake in my eyes. It's tooo high IMO when I'm looking at the wheel arch. Well, it can be "fixed" but it would be nice if Skoda would give as an option for lower suspension. Based on images I think the Spacebacks with style plus are sitting lower than the ones without style plus packet. Or maybe my eyes are fooling around with me? Interior looks solid and body design is gorgeous as far as I'm concerned (I just love this sporty-back design form A3). Overall it's is a nice looking car with plenty of space on back seats and in the boot. I'm pretty damn sure I will buy it.
  4. Hy every one. I have some trouble to find aftermarket relay roller, v-ribbed belt tensioner and relay roller of tensioner for Fabia 1.4 petrol, 50kW, AQW motor type with manual AC and electric hydraulic pump for steering wheel. Here is a pictures of parts for which am I looking for relay roller (parts with number 13,8,5,2,1) And here is a picture of parts for which am I looking for v-ribbed belt tensioner and relay roller fo tensioner (parts with number 8,6,10 or 4 and 7) Both relay rollers have diameter 75mm but aftermarket part sellers offer only 70mm relay roller. The bigest trouble is to get tensioner (number 7 from second picture). If any one ever changed these parts with aftermarket parts I would be glad if could tell at least who manufactured them. Even better, actually the best would be part number of those parts for which am I looking for. Thanks for any usefull informations.
  5. Hy It's located on gearbox. If you kneel down on your knees and look on lower part of the gearbox you will see wiring connector. That's the reverse lamp switch. Be careful and have new switch prepared becouse gearbox oil will become to leak! You can use your thumb to plug a hole while you changing a reverse lamp switch.
  6. As I promised. Evaporator temperatur sensor in left hand driven fabia is located at same position (on driver side). Here are pictures of my procedure www.Skoda-Team.com ~ Poglej temo - Senzor temperature uparjalnika klime (kako ga zamenjam) - your are welcome for any translations into english;) How it looks central locking ECU bracket and its V shaped lugs (I broked one of lugs by accident). You can also see 2 slots in the car metal chassis where lugs are slided.
  7. Hy Thanks for this great guide. I went today to a local guru for air conditioning which finded out that something is not OK with air conditioning on my left hand drive fabia 1.4. After they used diagnostic tool they founded out evaporations sensor fault. They said changing this sensor costs about 350€ becouse they have to remove dashboard. Local Skoda servicer requests 220€ for change. Now it only will take me for an hour or max two. I will report where evaporation temp sensor is located in left hand driven fabia;)
  8. IanVW in this case I assume shuddering would be present all the time. In this case is present randomly in time to time.
  9. Ricko can you please explain? I do not understand your answer.
  10. Hy Fabia 2001 year, 37406 miles driven, 1.4 8V engine AQW engine type. When car stands still in neutral gear, engine randomly in time to time shudders which causes some vibrations which could be felt on steering wheel and gear handle. Shuddering is also visilbe on RPM gauge. Shuddering disappeared for a while when we have replaced temperature sensor and when we have cleaned throttle body. But after a while shuddering appeared again. Temperature sensor returns correct value (checked with vagcom). Consumption is good, I could say below average, exhaust test values are in place. Does anyone know why this shuddering appears?
  11. Hy I need to change spark plugs at Fabia 1.4 8V 50kW AQW engine type. I intend to buy NGK spark plug (supposedly recommended from Skoda) but I do not know which spark plug model is correct. You are welcome to recommend any other spark plug manufacturer to mount in our fabia engine which could be eventually better on your experince. Can you help me out with this? Thanks
  12. wonkydonkey, cleaning throttle body was first think that has been done. I intend to buy thermostat assy and temp sender in aftermarket car spare part shop-it's cheaper and probably same quality.
  13. Yes it does! I noticed this week when I went on highway where I have been driving 130km/h max at constant speed and temperature gauge looked like it is stucked on the left(cold engine) until I start driving uphill when it has moved on center and stayed there. Thanx for a link:thumbup:. I'll swap-it together with a thermostat. Can you tell me where can I find a valve which takes care for engine idle? I looked up all over the engine and I couldn't find it. I only know ford engines so I don't have any clue how idle valve looks at Skoda and where is mounted.
  14. Hi from Slovenia. Fabia 1.4 MPI(50kW) 8V engine, produced 2001. Sometimes when the engine is cold after a start goes to app. 1800pm and then within a second or two goes down to app. 1400rpm an then to 850-900rpm as it is usual for idle rpm. Engine irritates when idling and during the driving with constant speed. Irritation feels like the motor would be choking at some point of turn. It also has a lot of problems start driving uphill in 1st gear or in reverse. Acceleration goes fine, there is no irritations. Could be the reason spark-plug or something else? I would also like to know where I can find a valve which takes care for engine idle? Thanks
