  1. Had a Fab Vrs and now have a red octy sport tdi The octy is bigger, smoother, just as quick and brakes & handles far far better than the fabia ever did... Fabia turned more heads though and stood out a little more but the Octy is deffinately a nicer car... and the seats don't fray / get dirty as easily as the fabia
  2. My car is due back from the dealership in a few hours after having a few different things done one thing being done is a stream radio update to solve the popping issue is there anything else that changes with this update?
  3. Got to be careful with that these days, most people probably wont admit even on here to having it done if they did
  4. I think it must have been the tyres, havent check the pressures yet but car feels ok and visually the tyres look ok, reset the TPM and hasn't gone off again
  5. I didn't realise it varied so much, got my first one done FOC as a courtesy due to problems with the car when I bought it but they quoted £240, will have to remember to ring around next time
  6. I thought about that one as well, its just the new tyres went on on saturday and the TPM has only omplained today and since I have covered over 100 miles since getting the new tyres I thought it should have come on sooner... Might just try resetting it then checking the pressures and see if its happy with that
  7. I thought about this as I did have frost on the windscreen and also it was about 1.5 degrees this morning which is a lot colder than it has been but didn't know if this would affect it. - Also if I turn the ignition of and on the warning is still there, but bienng the first time it has come on I don't know if it stays until you reset it?
  8. TPM warning came on this morning on the way to work but can't see anything wrong with my tyres, had 2 new rears fitted on Saturday and havent checked the pressure / reset the TPM since having them fitted and was wondering if this might be the cause? Anyone know how sensitive it is and if its anything to worry about, might try and get to a garage and check the pressures on me lunch though
  9. Had the exact same issue with my Ex demo Octy2 Sport 140, anything above about 3000rpm if you planted your foot it slipped like mad, cluth was also sticking down in mine as well... went back to dealers for a new cluth under warranty
  10. I deffinately think the octy is a better handling car than my Fabia Vrs and most certainly than my Golf 1.8T (thats was like a boat)... its not a patch on something like SWMBO's Clio 182 but its comfortable and does everything I need it to, feels really solid on corners where the fabia had a little too much roll for my liking. But most people who have fabia Vrs's lowered them anyway so I imagine that they don't have the best stock suspension whereas I havent heard much talk of people lowering the octy
  11. Well I don't have the xenons or the leather or the electric seats or maxi dot or a jumbo box or the rear view mirror thingy or the coming home lights or the phone installation or the parking sensors Loosing out on all of that for the sake of a body kit is not great... love the body kit don't get me wrong but the options you have if the car is the same price as a sport here outweight the bodykit in my opinion
  12. Ah I see, My appologies I didn't realise it was not a UK model Yeah, loved the fabia but it was a little small, the Golf GTI Turbo is just not worth mentioning other than it was a mk4 and I should never have bought it and the octavia is amazing, wished I had xenon's though as SWMBO's Clio 182 makes me jealous... I like the ride and love the looks, I also like the fact that although on paper the octavia is something like 0.1 seconds slower its far smoother than the fabia and far better handling while still being able to fit a dining table and 4 chairs in the boot
  13. Strange as I did the exact same thing... had a black magic vrs fabia..... then got a red octavia sport.. although I had a golf GTI in between, BOSNJO, I think you might not have ordered a sport and possibly just the sport suspension / wheels for a normal octy.... what makes a sport a sport is the bodykit..., oh and with regards to the tyres they won't last long at all and I would recommend replacing them with something different like michellins... just my opinion mind you but I certainly can't affford replacing tyres that quickly, I had 4 need replacing after 16,000.
  14. my god that's one sexy looking car.... wish I could have afforded an estate vrs
  15. does pressing and holding do anything on none maxi dot displays??
