  1. I bought a 5 year old, 1.5 petrol, 10k mileage, Karoq a few months ago. Basically it's been a lovely car to drive but in the last couple of weeks a warning notice has come up 3 times, 'High Clutch Temperature'. On the first 2 occasions this occurred on the M40 when putting my foot down to overtake. The warning is accompanied with a loss of power. This only lasts for a few seconds and then everything goes back to normal, including disappearance of the warning. The EPC notification displays on the rev counter until the engine is turned off. The 3rd occasion happened when changing gear on a normal local run. Any ideas or advice would be welcome
  2. Thanks for the update At the moment am pursuing a quote from Topfit near Stroud They apparently used to do all the towbar work for Bristol Motors.
  3. Thanks for your reply. Since my initial post I've found a wealth of info on previous threads. I am now trying to engage a towbar specialist in the Bristol area to do the job.
  4. Sorry, wrong subject area, new to this forum. Can it be transfered to somewhere more appropriate? Brian
  5. I'm looking for advice on finding the sockets which should be available for connecting a 13 pin towhitch loom. I've looked behind both rear internal linings but nothing is obvious. The previous owner fitted a simple 12N socket by splicing into the rear lighting cables and taking a 12V power supply from the rear power socket, however this is not satisfactory for caravan towing. Any ideas will be welcome Brian
  6. Hi everyone, I've just purchased a low mileage 5 year old Karoq to replace my previous 18 year old X-trail and I'm hoping the new car will be as good a tug as the old beast. Initially I've got problems the towbar wiring (an aftermarket installation) but I'll open up a specific thread on that subject. Regards to all
