  1. Actually, I'm not new here....I joined when I bought the car nine years ago, it's just been so utterly reliable that I haven't had to call upon the experts. Very frugal on juice and totally practical, it's easily the best car I've ever owned, and there have been quite a few. If I was asked if it could be improved, I'd say a rear seat base that lifted up and forward so that the rear seat back could lay fully down to give a flat load area would be the cherry on top. I could sleep in it then... Nicephore
  2. Bingo!! Thanks for that......9 years we've had it, and I don't think I've ever touched those buttons....🙄 Nicephore
  3. Mine's a manual 2016 diesel "Business" estate, bought as an ex demo, and we'd had the car for a year before we even tried the CC. Despite 90% of our journeys being on motorways, we only used it once, and didn't bother again. The car is, in the sales jargon "fully loaded", and it was quite a while before we discovered all the bells and whistles. Not had a soggy back problem with the leather seats, but the 18" wheels are are a pain on our potholed roads, so if/when one gets busted, it's a swap to 17" all round. Nicephore
  4. After an MOT earlier this year, we noticed the compass rose image had been replaced by "No entries available". Photo attached. I can't find any reference to this anywhere, so any suggestions as to how to get the compass back would be appreciated. Nicephore
  5. I bought a manual Superb Mk3 "Business" 2.0 CDi estate in 2016........best car I've ever owned in terms of practicality, economy, and performance.....and I've been around for a long, long while and had quite a few cars... I really would like the part number for a replacement windscreen, and I asked the supplying dealer...still waiting for the phone call. It's not cracked or chipped, just well scratched due to gritty dust and wet days on the motorway. Apparently there are many options, but I would have thought that the reg or vin number could quickly give the answer. The car has cruise control (? only tried it once, no thanks), and a wiper setting that fires them up automatically when it starts raining.....presumably for nervous drivers who can't take one hand off the wheel for a second. These "features" apparently determine what windscreen type is required, and whether it's going to cost £350 or £770 to replace. Nicephore
