  1. Just sent my payment for 1 x wall calendar. Good work looks great
  2. If you want to control and play music from an iPod/iPhone/iPad you needed to have specced the additional Mitsumi (MDI) plug which replaces the standard USB. The USB will read 'memory' devices like USB sticks and search for files and folders to read which is not how the Apple devices store and organise the music which is why you can charge but not play music. I opted for the Mitsumi and my old 60gb Ipod Video works fine this way. I think the only way forward would be a retrofit as I'm sure the plugs/fittings could be swapped behind the disc unit in the glove box..... something I did in my old Yeti and thought about for my VRS but got MDI anyway!
  3. Not sure if it covers all the features of Hive but I'my looking at installing some LightwaveRF products. They have boiler, thermostat and individual Thermostatic valves that can be controlled with the wifi box.... http://lightwaverf.com
  4. With that spec and price I need to employ your services when buying my next car! Well done
  5. Is this a thread from 2005? or is that '1' meant to be a '7'
  6. Snap! :'( I did mine at the weekend lol! Mine is only 1 inch scratch and I was quoted £80.00 with it being away for 3 days due to the diamond cut. The effort is disproportionate at this stage so my Chipsaway man is looking to do a touch up instead once he sees it. IMG_0671 by A16NSV, on Flickr
  7. Mine was completely standard. I was surprised with the time too but it's trump card is the launch, after 60mph you feel how un-aerodynamic it is!
  8. Off the line 4x4 wins for sure. My 170 Elegance was quicker to 60 and 1/4 mile than my MK 2 VRS.... https://youtu.be/6DZBfRsYDVU?list=FL3agps4l-PtcQVjK0-vVRSA I hope the MK3 gets some grip from somewhere this year at GTI
  9. Loving mine, took me 3 weeks to find out about the tilt function but never was one to read manuals! https://flic.kr/p/r7KLus'>Octavia Panoramic roof by A16NSV, on FlickrVRS HDR 8 by A16NSV, on Flickr
  10. Thanks for the comments Photographing a white car is a nightmare so some of those photos are 3-5 pictures together with the different exposure levels. As for the reflections it helps that the car is a couple of weeks old so not much effort really Not like my old black Mk 2 VRS where I had to go the whole hog with a rotary and get all the defects out. GTI International 2010 by A16NSV, on Flickr As for products I've always favoured Meguiars stuff as I'm just down the road from their Daventry warehouse so can get the bulk chemicals easily enough. Having said that I've heard/read so much about the collinite waxes that I fancy migrating from the liquid ones I have. I'm after longevity now so I can blast it once a week to blow the dirt off.
  11. I gave mine a good 5 hours of washing and waxing as it was nice last weekend. Always a bonus when it stays clean longer than a few days! Nothing fancy, Autobrite snow foam, Autoglym tar remover, Meguiars Step 3 wax and Perfect Clarity window cleaner some AG Aloy sealant.... 12. They only work in Sport mode on mine and noticeably move very quick from left to right, much faster than on my previous Yeti. They don't seem to work on Eco but you can set the lighting in individual settings to Sport and leave the rest in Eco, which is what I have done.
  13. I have for the past 2 nights after borrowing a Racelogic box . I don't think foot to the floor 'dumping the clutch' at 2500rpm is very forgiving and like you say it just wheelspins. However, you don't need to pin the throttle and I've had better launches around 1500rpm and 'jolt' it off the line before full throttle.
  14. 3 weeks in and 2700 miles and it is a firm ride as expected but it is more controlled as opposed to uncomfortable. My Mk 2 when it found a pot hole used to bang and scare the cr4p out of me! Whilst I've not found any epic holes yet I don't find them as crashy. On the plus note you'll save your back in the shorter time it takes to clean them as they are far more accessible!
