  1. Mine has latest updates and never had any issues even in -20. Although I'm thinking about disabling folding mirrors I hate that crackling sound in a morning. 😬
  2. I think you can start engine while in P then pressing brake and accelerator to the floor but don't worry about it just drive. The car is designed to start and drive cold that's basically how all hybrids designed and we don't see their engine failing all the time.
  3. That's reassuring but just checked manual and there's no mention about pump fuse and after some googling I found out that at least mk1 didn't had one and it just takes out pump. 😬 It would be wild if it failed after like 3 tries.
  4. I tried waiting until it unfreezes after long trip and it doesn't make any sound anymore. Am I ****ed? 😬 Also what's up with the empty space under windshield wipers? Spend an hour with a fan to get all ice out because they wipers can't go down anymore.
  5. Idk why you guys are so against it. I've never had any such assistants on my previous cars. After getting kodiaq I'm blown away how convenient it's. At least on roads that I drive it's basically autopilot and it's great. I actually worried about it before I got my car because of comments like yours now I wouldn't get a car that doesn't have it.
  6. I didn't checked everything but yeah MAYBE few plastic bits felt a bit better on VW but that didn't seemed relavant to me. Definitely not worth 7k more.
  7. It's ridiculous how much is including in base kodiaq vs Tayron. When I first called them and started listing features that I want sales person pretty much kept saying "yeah that's included for no extra cost".
  8. I went with kodiaq. Basically got SEL PHEV version with few extras like heated window, 360 cameras, color, wheels. I tried getting quote for Tayron, speced it to be exactly like Kodiaq matrix headlights, 360 cameras and etc. minus electric driver seat with memmory. They quoted me 46k. 😅 After test driving it I didn't felt it to be much smoother or whatever so decided that it doesn't make sense to pay 7k extra for technically the same care minus electric driver seat.
  9. So I was about to order new kodiaq iv PHEV but after reading through this forum it looks like that it still has a lot of issues. Should I worry? Maybe I should look for alternatives? I actually been eyeing VW Tayron too but looking at Tiguan it looks like it has even more issues than kodiaq which I assume is very likely transfer to Tayron. Is this new normal experience with new cars? Main reason I want new car is reliability but it almost feels likeI can only get it from used cars.
