  1. Still no further on this, independent specialist is happy to plug it in again, find the part number and I find it for him to fit. However in the meantime I’ve got in touch with my local Skoda garage and they have quoted around £750 inc VAT to sort out, plus an extra £100 if I want a diagnostic done just in case. So I’m a bit stuck as to see if it’s worth trying to find a 2nd hand part or just go straight to Skoda! Is it worth the time and effort trying to source a 2nd hand part for it to not work?!?
  2. Thank you so much for the very in-depth response, it is truly appreciated! I do not have the skills at all to do this myself, sorry, but my local Skoda specialist does, in your personal opinion would it be worth trying to find a 2nd hand one for him to fit or would you just go all out and get brand new? My issue is that in this current climate, I don't have the money to just drop around £1000 on the car, if it can be done with a 2nd hand one that would be great. I am in no rush to do it so if it is possible to get a 2nd hand one I don't mind waiting, I just don't know the part number for the module so I don't even know what I'm looking for! It it helps the car is a 2017 Sportline 2.0 150 diesel? My how I wish you were local to me! Thanks again!
  3. Sorry to jump onto this thread but I am having the exact same issues, I (Stupidly) replaced my boot lights with some cheap Chinese LEDs and a couple of weeks the MFD and Headunit go dark when the car starts and all the interior lights have stopped working. Ive taken it to a lack Skoda specialist who plugged it and tried everything, including checksum etc. He has said that the module needs replacing and will be around £700-£800 for a new one fitted, is this about right? Is there any other avenues I could go down before forking this out such as a 2nd hand module, he did say that it doesn't tend to work with a 2nd hand one as it needs to be an exact one, is this also correct? Thanks for any help, I just don't have that kind of money to put into the car atm!
