Hey guys New member here and to be longtime member as I have a mk2 58 Octavia 1.9tdi that I’m intending to run into the ground. Amazing car, I am currently in a bit of predicament with a noise from cold starting. It used to do it then went off but has come back in a much more loud fashion. It’s very intermittent and has me absolutely stumped. It disappears when the car warms up and when I accelerate. Through a phone diagnosis somebody has said it is maybe the pulley, but the sound I’ve isolated to the opposite side of the engine. So not too sure what’s going on. Thought I may be the engine mounts but… I don’t know, hence why I’m on here now, if anyone could help me or has dealt with a similar problem, please help.
