  1. I have to disable it every time I start the car. It’s under parking settings called “maneuver braking” or something. I’m not sure if it’s enough to mute the sensors. It’s a really terrible “feature”, way too sensitive to react, and way too aggressive on the brake. Sometimes it detects people on the parking lot who are obviously not in my path and slams the brakes. Other-times it troggers when I’m passing cars on a narrow street.
  2. I also observed that it happens more frequently in humid and rainy days, I think you may be on to something. Will experiment a bit with your suggestion to hit the brakes
  3. I usually check it once every couple of months, before long trips. And when there is a big change in outside temperature. Tell us more, I get a sense there is more context in your question?
  4. Hey Cristian, appreciate you sharing your experience. It was nothing like that in my case, was driving the usual daily commute with phone navigation off. I will let you know what comes out of the dealer, but I suspect they won’t be able to do much if this is a factory/design problem. Cheers
  5. New mk2 phev owner here, with just under 5000km. I am trying to get a feel how common is the following problem and if anyone has dealership experience/advice to share. Today during regular driving the HUD and road sign recognition stopped working. I got an unusual “you are driving outside supported area” error message (not exact words, but it’s best what I can remember). This was very unusual but even worse when I checked the car GPS I was positioned completely off road and in the middle of nowhere. When I arrived home I noticed that the eSIM internet was not working either. Apps like Laura, app updates, traffication anything that requires connectivity - dead. Things got more confusing when I did a hard reset of the infotainment and switched to home wifi. Still got a lemon and no connection. I did found a solution online, removing the fuse no. 19 for a couple of minutes. This restored the eSIM internet and all is good, for now. But WTF, looks like this is a common problem on VW group cars as I have found iID4 and other skoda owners reporting the same problem with this module. Next week I am taking the car to the dealer. Mechanically this car has been great, but the software is a lemon. From the minor inconveniences that I can live with (like mobile app not working half the time), to dealbreakers like hard brake situations when there was no car or pedestrian in sight.
  6. I experienced the exact same thing, also have the PHEV. It started only recently, and does not happen every time. No idea what’s going on, I assumed a sensor glitch. Overall I’m disappointed with the electronic safety features. The car has engaged emergency brakes more than once, and created a dangerous situation for the cars behind me. The mobile app works only half the time. A pity, it’s otherwise a comfortable and fun ride.
  7. I frequently get the 12V battery error in the skoda app (even though it is not drained) and once this kicks in, the app seems to stop activating the car. Someone mentioned (but I couldn’t confirm) that activating the car drains the 12V battery and as a power saving option the car activates less. I can still force activate it by unlocking the doors via app, but any other functionality (like remote heating) will not start up.
  8. Their response is 100% from chatgpt. I doubt anyone changed a single letter. And judging by the dates and how many times this feature has slipped, it’s either not on their priority list or for some reason it’s technically blocked. Most probably IT has switched gears into the Enyaq/Elroq or I have read rumors about a new upcoming Kodiaq-sized EV equivalent. I am not keeping my hopes up, regardless of what their BS machine generated email says.
  9. I wouldn’t think ACC is mandatory, it’s a purchasable option. Check your contract or offer, is ACC listed there as an option? If it is, kindly insist that your dealer honors the agreement and enables it. If not, you will probably have to purchase it presumably in the infotainment Shop
