Seat memory height problem
Yep, I can store and recall seat positions. But it never stays all the way up. At the moment I open the door, seat goes down around 1 cm. Everything else is ok

Seat memory height problem
Hi everybody, I like my seat position all the way up, and that is how I memorised it. BUT every time I enter the car again height is not all the way up but 1-2 cm lower! Anybody had the same problem and knows how to fix it? Thanks

Brake fluid change
Btw, what are brake fluid specs and capacity for 2023 Superb estate, 2.0 TDI,DSG? Owner manual is completely useless

Brake fluid change
Not realy me, in 45 years literally, not one dealer shop (under warranty) and not one smaller shop, nobody EVER even mentioned brake fluid change ! I was always carefull to do all scheduled services, mostly even ahead of time. Some of those shop owners were my friends and realy, very good mechanics ......so imagine now my surprise.

Brake fluid change
I wish I had a garage ........and knowlege to do it myself 😁

Brake fluid change
Oh, misunderstanding. Of course I'll change it, just dont have confidence in authorised dealer shops. Because of warranty it's required to be done only by them.

Brake fluid change
Several years? Last car was bought new and sold when 10 years old. Believe me , I notice things while driving for which mechanics need one hour to find even when I point to them where the problem might be, and in 99% I was right. I would have noticed if my brake pedal have changed for a milimeter. I'm not saying you are wrong, at contrary and far from it, just saying my experience with cars I had.

Brake fluid change
Not me, dealership service should follow the procedure, car is still warranty and service needs to be done by them. For the last year they were unable to fix my windshield wipers , so now you know why I'm very concerned about "following the procedure"

Brake fluid change
No they never changed it under warranty scheduled services at dealership, they would gladly charge me but it was never listed on a receipt. I am asking about air , cause I'm wondering how much air can come in the brake system by unqualified mechanics handling fluid change. That is my concern

What about the air in the brake system? How dangerous that is?

Brake fluid change
Nice video, thanks. So it turns out that I was lucky, so far. Never changed brake fluid and never had even the slightest problems with my brakes, even on 10 year old cars. When they hit 10 years they were sold anyway. Thou I was always replacing my brake pads, and discs if needed, mostly before their time. Also calipers checked and looked for any leaks anywhere. It seems, when everything is replaced early and checked thoroughly brake system acts as hermeticaly closed system so water and dirt can't come in. At least , that's the only explanation I can come up with. As I said, in 45 years, never raplaced brake fluid and never had the slightest problem.

Brake fluid change
The thing is, just my last three cars were VW , Skoda, octavia and now Superb. All bought new. All three in,warranty period, were serviced at authorised dealer shops. None of them ever ,even mentioned brake fluid. Also after warranty expires I was going to "my" mechanic. He also never mentioned it 🫤. Strange How often do you change it?

Brake fluid change
Hi, I apologise for my ignorance in advance. Just the other day i noticed that on my door sticker on the bottom brake fluid change is marked for 2026, which means after 2 years. My car is 2024 Superb MK 3 / 2.0 TDI DSG.(Made on 25th of October 2023). Never heard of brake fluid change before, never changed it and no service shop ever mentioned it......EVER ( I'm 62 years old and owned cars since I was 18). I was always checking brake fluid level, same as service people, and that was it. Can someone enlighten me about what is "new" about brake fluid and why? Thanks

Motor oil Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI /2014y.
😁 It's not about stranger or not , it's about knowlege. I , for one ,don't know much about car. Right now inside is 0-20 long life. It was done at 23K Km.It's supposed to be changed after 30K Km, but I'll be doing it at around 15K intervals. Car is now at 34K Km. For coming oil change I'll maybe use again 0-20 because of warranty. But after that switch to 0-30. I believe strangers more than VW 😉

Motor oil Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI /2014y.
So you are warmly recommending to go with 0-30?

Motor oil Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI /2014y.
Sorry, my typo mistake. Car was made 24. October 2023, first registration in March 2024. Literaly one of the lasto MK3 made Superbs. On 1. November they started MK 4. So the sticker is correct. What would be the benefit of using 0w-30 instead of 0w-20?

Motor oil Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI /2014y.
Hi, I am about to change motor oil in my Superb mk 3, 2.0TDI /140hp, year 2014. Sticker under the hood says VAG 0W-20. Has anybody used Vag 0w-30 instead? If yes, was it recomended by someone knowlegable and why? Also, what is exact capacity with filter change? Thanks

Pirelli Cinturato SF3 215/55/ R17
Yep, that's a good deal. They should be good too. I had Kleber Quadraxer 3 which are very close to CC. Once they break in they were very good.

Pirelli Cinturato SF3 215/55/ R17
CC3 cheaper than CC2 .....how come?? What was the price?

Pirelli Cinturato SF3 215/55/ R17

Pirelli Cinturato SF3 215/55/ R17
Ok, just a limited review after a hundred some kilometers on dry road, mostly highway and some city. Sunny days, around 25-28° C. Just to mention, after tire fitting I did wheel aligment too. Front Toe was set at +0.2° (I think degrees not milimeters, forgot to ask). For those unfamiliar with "Toe" it means front tires are facing slightly inwards (gives slightly better straight line hold). So Pirelli ....as any allseason tire it has a bit of tendency to steer left and right (tread pattern, new tire with a lot of thread) BUT it is remarkably miniscule !! It's more in a sense of high performance tire, where you need to stay focused and hold the wheel s tiny bit firmer. Or maybe it's just, being stiff XL tire. Cinturato is very precise and also in curves, no sidewall bending or understear. I was driving one long, medium sharp, highway curve at 170-180km/h, it was a breeze, felt like a razor blade. Sharp and precise. Braking.......after Michelin, stoping with Pirelli is nice. So much, that car actually feels lighter because braking is so much better and confident. Of course, all of this is a bit "after the shock modification" review, so not quite apples and apples, but as I said modification was somewhat subtle and difference with Cinturato is not. In next few days, might have a rain here, so if I'm out I'll let you know
