  1. Hello, I have a 2004 Octy 110 TDI and it keeps going into limp-home mode, i.e. no turbo. It seems to be getting worse and, after reading a few of the topics on this site seems to indiate a number of things - sticky vanes, sticky actuator or a MAF sensor replacement. I've had some Forte fuel treatment through it, but that's not done the trick so, before I spend more money trying to get to the bottom of it, I could do with a VAGCOM diagnostic carried out to see if the issue can be pinpointed. I live in Preston, Lancashire, and I wondered if there were any Briskoda members in the region with diagnostic equipment that would be willing to hook my car up - I am more than happy to travel locally and give the member a few quid for his/her troubles. I've been told that it is possible to manipulate the turbo actuator using the VAGCOM diagnostic, so if this could be carried out that would be great. Thanks, Darren
  2. Hello, I recently replaced (with standard items) the front suspension coils, shock absorbers, top strut bearing, top axial bearing, arb bushes & brackets, on my 2004 Octavia TDi. I then had the suspension and steering geometry checked and aligned at Nigel Ladd's garage who has one of the Hunter DSP6000 alignment machines. Since then I am experiencing, what I can only describe as increased "feedback" through the pedals and steering wheel. By "feedback" I am referring to the fact that I can now feel every single road imperfection - stones, pitted tarmac, tiny bumps and dips. The overall ride quality is fine but the increased feedback does not feel "normal" espeically as I have replaced the suspension with equivalent standard items and not uprated ones - at least I hope that is what I was given by the parts shop. Some petrolheads may jump at the chance of increased feedback, but it just does not feel right in a standard Octavia TDi! Is there a period whereby the suspension would need bedding in? Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Darren
