  1. Just after a bit of advice if anyone can help…… I’ve just bought a 2019 Octavia Scout DSG with 61k miles on the clock. It has the DJGA engine code (184 horsepower) and I am looking to change the timing belt as a precautionary measure. A friend of mine has a 2015 Octavia Scout with the CRMB engine (150 horsepower) and manual transmission. He has changed his timing belt and water pump and he has kindly offered to help me with mine. My question is, are there any significant differences between the job on the 2 different engines? Is there anything specific to be aware of when changing the timing belt and water pump on the DJGA engine? Is there anything else that I should be looking at or aware of with the DJGA engine? The car has full main dealer history from new, and I’m keen to keep it in the best condition possible by doing preventative maintenance before problems occur. Any advice is greatly appreciated .
