Hmm that sounds dodgy, ill double check later! I only know what's been replaced as a friend had access to the Skoda system - Skoda weren't officially telling me anything!

That makes sense. I understand it was a hire car (Hertz or someone of that ilk) before we had it, so one owner, a lot of drivers, but there's no real service history. There are a fair few things that were replaced during its first ownership, including a rear bumper and all wheels!!

I'm booked into Skoda on tues for them to take a look as they put one of the plugs in. What I need to find out though is why it's happening so quickly- I can't be having this problem every 8 months/yearly!

Very true. But it's that bad, my normal garage won't even attempt to remove 2 of the plugs as they dont want to risk it, which is certainly not normal with 8 month old plugs, so there must be something else at play? It doesn't seem to be a common problem...

We've had the car 2.5 years, but neither us nor Skoda have anything that says the plugs were done before this point (interestingly I got Skoda to pay for the removal of the stuck plug at 72k as another garage had assumed it was stuck because they hadn't been changed in the lifetime of the car, and it was an approved used). We're about 5 miles from the seaside so don't think it's that, haven't had problems with previous/other cars. Not been valeted or engine cleaned etc.

Hi all, just wondering if someone could help please? Despite being changed last September and only after 8k miles, spark plugs 2 and 3 are really corroded, and I'm now getting a misfire on 3 and engine warning light. Spark plug 2 was literally stuck in last September, had to take to Skoda to change. It seems as if I must have a leak somewhere, but I can't think how moisture or anything else could be possibly getting in to corrode in that short a time frame.
