Hi guys, I'm also new here, but I had the same issue as you and the easiest way is buying and installing a new head unit. The hardest part is finding one for a fair price, the installation is simple and pretty straightforward. If you don't buy "unlocked" unit, you will just have to handle a theft protection system, which is quite easy, if you buy an Amundsen. After that, you will need to unlock SmartLink (also very easy on Amundsen) and you're good to go. It may also be a good idea to change coding, so it will show you correct settings for assistants in the menu. I recommend visiting local scrapyards and if you're lucky, you will find your needed unit somewhere. For example I found an MIB2 Amundsen (model 874B with DAB) for just 200 euros from a crashed Rapid.
