  1. Hi there, new and looking for any experiences. My Skoda Octavia scout (2011) has managed to lock itself with the keys in the ignition…. I’ve no idea if this is normal or a fault but the auto locking on this car has always been rather overzealous. I was cleaning out car and had unlocked using fob and for some reason the car likes to ‘lock’ itself regardless of what door is open at that time and if door is open the alarm will then set off. Car was parked in my drive and I was getting ready to hoover, it kept trying to lock with the drivers door open so put the key in the ignition ( didn’t turn it) and stupidly closed the door so I could get past it. In less than 10 seconds the door had locked itself and I was officially locked OUT!! AA want 75 quid to perhaps break the car and might have to deploy airbags ?? And can’t do until Wednesday. Anyone know if a Skoda dealership would be able to sort this at all? Many thanks 🙏 P.s car brought second hand and no spare key!!!!!!
