In an S model 2016 Octavia with absolutely no toys whatsoever. I got it with a bog standard Bolero which is efficient enough but lacks satnav, android auto and just about everything else! Thought I would try upgrading and bought and fitted a Junsun - massive mistake. Take my word for it - just don't. Barely functions as a radio and often starts up at full chat - windows (and ears) take a battering. Reception dreadful even on local stations. Phone kinda pleases itself, sometimes works, often doesn't. Android a faff, satnav unreliable, etc etc, you get the picture. Also no way of clearing dashboard messages, clock, etc as that is all done on the original Bolero. One positive - sd music works great. If I get something more suitable fitted I will take great delight in drop kicking it into the nearest skip and sod the expense. After trying to live with it for a while I was getting more and more frustrated. Wife frequently goes medieval and mutters stuff about hammers! I then (hopefully) had a revelation. What about a Columbus? It has everything I need and retains all the original Skoda stuff. I can almost guarantee this has been proposed before, but I can't find it. Is it a straight swap, what is required and how's it done? Sourcing, harness, coding and anytthing else I need to know. Appreciate any help. If it can't be done the Bolero is going back in and I'll just have to live with it
