  1. Hehe, the sound is horrible! In this case the stone was lodged in the caliper, so I barely saw it! I will try reversing quickly the next time this happens. Here is the recording, better late than never šŸ˜‚ https://streamable.com/g5g64t
  2. Found the culprit, my mom was right! šŸ˜‚
  3. I’m going to the capitol today and I will record the noise and upload it here later today šŸ˜‰
  4. Hi all, I noticed this metal scraping sound (front left side) a couple of weeks ago when driving in first gear into my mothers carport. I though I had driven over some metal that was stuck under the car, but after a quick inspection and my mother telling me it was probably a stone stuck in the brakedisc, I thought nothing more of it. I have noticed the sound a couple of more times when in low gear but it went away quicky. So fast forward to last sunday I was visitng a friend in the capitol and when driving to his place the noise suddeny became very noticable and constistent, like people were turning heads noticable. This time I was driving in 3rd gear. I lowered the windows while driving and my reaction was to park the car as fast as possible. It's not a constant scraping sound, it goes with the wheel spinning. After I parked the car I jacked up the car and removed the wheel and checked for stones but found none. When I grabbed the brakedisc and turned it with my hands I could hear a noise comming from the inner CV joint, though my friend said he heard it from the outer CV joint. I had to take the train home and I need some advice on how I can bring my Skoda Yeti home! Do you guys think that it would be a good idea to change the whole driveshaft? And could I do it myself? I have done some hobby-repairs over the years, and I've been told that changing the driveshaft is not that difficult and does not require any special tools. If my friend is right and the sound comes from the outer CV joint could that also mean that is it the wheel bearing that is broken? It's a 2012 Skoda Yeti btw. I you need any more info please let me know!
