I purchased a brand new Kamiq SE Edition on 19th June 2025. I am a loyal Skoda customer, this bein my fourth brand new car. Took it to Isle of Man for a weeks holiday on 28th June, and after 4 days the infotainment screen went black. Completely unresponsive. Tried the reboot but no joy. Phoned the dealer who said there were no capable technicians on IOM and booked me in for a ckeck on my return. The dealer then contacted me to say that a new screen was required andthey would place a back order, should arrive from Czechia by 28th July. It didn't and I have today been advised that it might be the end of this week. By then, I will have been without my car for 2 weeks. I have been provided with a courtesy car, but it is not a Skoda- my wife refuses to drive an automatic, and we insisted that the courtesy car should be a nanual with reversing camera, as my wife has neck problems. The car they supplied (from Europcar) was a MG HS, which I don't particularly like. Astonished that the dealer could not supply a courtesy car from their own stock. Because of all the hassle, the dealers sent us a hamper, all well and good but I consider that I should be entitled to compensation. For 4 days on the IOM I could not listen to the radio, use the reversing camera or the Sat Nav. Same for the first week back. I did threaten to reject the car, but the dealers tried to stop me from doing this, offering profuse apologies and promises. I do not blame the dealer. The fault lies fairly and squarely with Skoda. Has any other form member had similar issues??
