  1. I can hear some kind of noise in stationary as well, but it’s far more louder while driving. But shouldn’t it be change frequency on higher RPM if it was the transmission? It sound the same even on 1500RPM in 5th, and on 2500RPM in 4th. It’s a manual 5 gear btw.

  4. Hi! I bought this Skoda a week ago, and after a 2001 Toyota 2.0d4d the engine sound is so different for me (maybe just unusual). Around 90 km/h it has this whistling (?) sound. No error codes, normal oil and water temp, and good fuel consumption (4.8l/100km or 49MPG). Is this engine just has this kind of sound or I need to worry? I can reproduce this sound in 5th and 4th gear also, no difference in the sound, but after releasing the gas, it immediately disappears (so no wheel bearing maybe) Thanks!
