  1. Beauty. Congrats and welcome on board! Enjoy the run in period and getting to know the car more.
  2. Enjoy the handover. Look forward to your review
  3. Cool. My car came with Bridgestones which I’m not a fan of. Look forward to swapping them out to Michelins when the time comes. Topped up to 39 psi earlier. Noticeable difference in a good way.
  4. I understand that, I’m just wondering what others are running?
  5. Calling all 4.5 Facelift owners with the 19" elias wheels. What tyre pressures are you running? Paper inside fuel cap says 2.7 bar all round, which is 39psi. Seems high? Car was delivered with 34psi. These have dropped slightly due to cold weather and now wondering whether to keep to 34 or crank up to 39?!
  6. OP, can you take it on a test drive at your local Dealer to see if they can recitfy?
  7. Yes they are on UK models. I should know 😊
  8. Standard on the 4.5 facelift. From memory on the 4 they came with the reversing camera. Assume you don’t have the camera?
  9. E5 for the first few refills. I then tried E10 from a supermarket (I know) and difference was noticeable, so I returned back to E5. Yes same here. My AC is on permanently so it does clear quickly. On a separate note, do you find the wipers are a bit rubbish? Job complete. I also asked the dealers to fix the tracking as steering wheel was sitting a little to the left. Now that winter is approaching I’m considering fitting mud guards. Any 4.5 owners have them installed?
  10. Check your clips! Popped out randomly. Showed dealer and they’ve ordered a new air vent unit, to be replaced next week.
  11. Assume you know you can turn off lane assist & speed warning via steering wheel? I do this every time I start the car, and thankfully it’s easy to do and not buried deep in the infotainment.
  12. They won’t care. I’d look at Pilot Sport 5s. Ideally replace all 4 at the same time. But it depends when your lease is up though? If soon, just get the same S005s. I always like all 4 corners to be the same.
  13. Umm maybe I’m not doing it right, would you mind sharing a screenshot of your Home Screen? I can set the mode button at the top of the screen, but I still have to click it before selecting sport (which is no different to pressing the physical button twice) 🤷‍♂️
  14. I thought the same but even as a widget it’s still 2 clicks to sport, and before that select Home Screen button as most of the time I’m in car play…so 3 clicks total. Or am I doing it wrong? I find simply clicking the physical mode button twice without really looking is the most efficient way, but I could be wrong as I’m still getting familiar with the car.
  15. Hey just stumbled across this as I was thinking the same thing. Did you get anywhere with it? I can’t see / hear any valves. On my previous car 1 valve would open on startup, and both in sports mode. This isn’t the case with the VRS as both exhausts fire up on start up, and sports mode doesn’t make the exhaust louder at idle (nor can you hear a valve opening / closing). Surely then it must be an ecu map for sports mode only? I just wish the mode button was closer to the steering wheel for RHD cars 😤
  16. Update. I’ve covered 500 miles so far and the car continues to impress. My previous car was a B9.5 RS4 which I ran for 2 years. A different beast but strangely I’ve already gelled more with the VRS. Day to day driving, it feels nimble and agile. Lighter by ~300kg. Peak torque sits low down and good direct steering feel. I feel it’s got the right level of performance for UK roads, not silly quick but enough poke to keep you smiling. Exhaust becoming throatier with miles. Pops and bangs in sports mode a nice touch. The screen is not as bad as everyone makes out. Once you know where everything is, it’s a doddle to use and very intuitive. Above all, and the way costs are going these days, it’s the value proposition I admire the most. Lower insurance, lower tax, lower petrol bills etc for a car that’s half the price of an RS4 but not half as fun. I feel it’s a hidden gem in the motoring world at the moment. Fast, spacious, efficient, no fake noise, well specced, value and looks. I’m biased, but it wears race blue very well.
  17. 0W-20 with VW 508 00 or 509 00 specification from what I can tell.
  18. Had a nosey earlier, couldn’t find anything obvious.
  19. Looks like some sort of protective insert for a storage compartment? I can take a look tomorrow.
  20. Congrats in advance, it’s a cracking car. Fuel economy? Not the point. Long runs? Surprisingly good. Run-in period? Just an excuse to behave… for now.
  21. Congrats @stubev156 what version / spec did you go for?
  22. Agree. They’re designed for fuel efficiency, but car looks 100x better without them and on my last motorway run I even reached 45mpg. Not bad for the running in period 😂 Seems like we’ve got quite the Race Blue gang on here.
  23. Yep I had the aero covers removed for handover, and requested no wash as the car went straight for a detail. The exhaust sounds fruity from the outside. I assume it will open up and sound better with miles once it’s bedded in. No spirited drive for me just yet, but I like how keen the car is to put down its power.
  24. Hey all. Very useful thread and wanted to share that I collected my vRS last week. Look forward to contributing to the forum 😊
