Head unit and touchscreen
Not that I know of, when I get chance I will recheck the fuses and see for myself if there is power going to both units.

Head unit and touchscreen
Ok thanks, I won’t waste my time checking. I am pretty new to Skodas, this is my first one. Had it about 15 months and so far new clutch, wheel bearings all round and an ongoing coolant issue, now this. Is it possible to change the unit in the glovebox to a later one along with the touchscreen without too much hassle?

Head unit and touchscreen
Hi Thanks for your reply Yes the screen is completely blank no noise or anything. It was working fine at the end of the day and the next morning nothing. Electrician says that there is power to the screen. They quoted me £1000 to £1200 for pioneer aftermarket system, but I can get 2nd hand head unit and screen for under £100. Not sure if I should just try replacing the screen first then if needed the head unit.

Head unit and touchscreen
Good afternoon all I have 2015 Octavia VRS 2.0l diesel hatchback. When I parked up one night, everything was working fine. Went to it the next morning and the touchscreen would not turn on. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Took it to an electrician who says that there is power going to it and that it could be the unit in the glovebox. Tbh I’m a bit stumped. Mine does not have sat nav but does anyone know if I can replace with one with sat nav and will I need to change both the unit and touchscreen? Or is there a way of checking both the unit and touchscreen before I look into replacing them both? Below are pictures of the labels from both units. I can source the identical touchscreen but struggling to find a unit with the same model number, mine starts with 5Q0 I can source one that starts with 5E0 Not sure if I’m looking at the correct numbers on both units Any advice would be much appreciated Many thanks

Coolant problem
Hi Thanks for your response. It was like this before I changed the thermostat, which is why I changed it, hoping it would solve it. But no such luck. I’m going to look into the pressure test you mentioned and go from there. However I checked the level this morning and released what little pressure there was and the level was well below the min mark so I topped up with about half a litre, think I will see how it goes for now. Also I have noticed that the running temp was around 90 before I changed the thermostat and since, it’s seems to be hovering around 70 or under.

Coolant problem
Hi all, sorry to jump straight in asking for help on my first of day joining. I’ve got to the point of frustration and desperation, as I’ve had this issue pretty much since purchasing the car, but thought it was a simple coolant top up. The car itself has far exceeded my expectations in performance, economy and drive ability. I’ve had a 2015 Octavia VRS hatch for about 10 months. In those 10 months It’s had a new clutch, rear wheel bearings, discs, pads ect and thermostat. All that apart from the clutch I’ve done myself. To me it’s general ware a tare and maintenance. The issue I have is the coolant level is normal when cold but virtually every other day when I go to start it up I get the low coolant warning. When I check the level the expansion tank (which is new and without the bag) is empty, when I release the pressure the coolant rushes back into the expansion tank to between the min and max marks and sometimes above the max. That’s why I changed the thermostat. But unfortunately the problem is not resolved. It’s not losing any coolant and there is no water in the oil. It’s got me a bit stumped for solutions. Any help or advise will be much appreciated Thanks in advance
