  1. I think that’s not true, I had a look on the forum, the original buttons have a different cable when they come from a non paddle steering wheel so you can’t just swap them into a wheel with paddles, and regarding the heated steering wheel it was mentioned that the connector would be different or something like that so again that wouldn’t work
  2. Ok so an update I ordered an Octavia VRS flat bottom steering wheel with the red stitching and paddles, it also has the same buttons as on my superb so no need to faff about with anything, my car is a maroon mk3 280 so I don’t mind the red. Will update when I fit it and test it, paid about 160 all in
  3. How about a karoq steering wheel? It has the view button but I’d change the buttons as it’s slightly cheaper than others
  4. I have found a 2016 Octavia vrs flat bottom steering wheel with the same buttons as what’s on my current superb wheel. Can anyone confirm if the buttons will work or will I still have to buy different buttons to make it work on my superb.
  5. thanks guys, would a 2014 VRS Octavia steering wheel work for me? It’s flat bottom and all but the buttons are slightly different (There is a person talking button, instead of the button to turn on or off the car assists)
  6. Thanks, do you know if an Octavia vrs steering wheel would work? Has the same buttons too.
  7. I’ve it 2 superbs and they both have this issue… bloody annoying
  8. Ah ok I did find one that’s non heated but £300, that’s way too much so I’ll keep searching, paddle shifters sound like a bunch of fun on a 280 especially 😂
  9. Hi all, looking at swapping my steering wheel on my 280 l&k 2016 for a sportline one that has a flat bottom. I’ve read that the steering wheels are a straight swap for the paddle shifters to work so I am very interested as I spend a lot of time in manual mode shifting up and down 👀.. anyways I’ve found this one from a 2019 sport line however the top of the airbag area looks a bit straight, as in it looks like only a heated steering wheel airbag would fit there, so I don’t know if it will be compatible for me, can anyone find out? Part number also in pictures
  10. Ok so I followed that guide and got a 9.2 inch screen. All is well and looks great however my ambient lighting doesn’t also apply to the screen which it should. Do I need to turn on anything on vcds. I only have the 3 colours but that’s fine with me, I just want the glass screen to also change colours with the colour I choose.. seen it on everyone else’s screen
  11. I’ve bought the glass screen not the 9.2 inch one the slightly smaller one, so I can follow that guide and don’t need to change my unit? 😁
  12. Would MIB3 be compatible with mine? 2016 l&k with canton. Or is mib 2.5 better
  13. Hi, thanks for that, I’m already on that version that you sent, I’m assuming it’s the latest but it’s annoying because it looks like an old interface.. I thought it get newer as I’m on the old green type menu and old picture of the car. Kind of like updating the Octavia’s to the facelift update. Don’t know if I can go any higher than my k3343
  14. Hi guys what’s the latest I can update this to (unofficially) as I have vcds and am capable of it, just don’t know what firmware it can go to, I’m just tired of the old green firmware that I’m on and want to be on a slightly later one for my 280 2016 l&k ideally want to be able to change colour of the infotainment screen with the ambient lights
  15. I changed the start up screen on my Octavia scout mk3 to scout (on the glass screen) I now want to do it on the instrument cluster via Vcds but can’t find which version it is on the drop down menu of Lcode. I also keep getting this error when I try to get off Lcode most of the time.. attached
  16. It does it in stationary neutral aswell, I will get a vid from the outside aswell but still hard to hear on video
  17. If you listen towards the end of the clip as the revs go down there is a horrible screech sorry the video is so bad
  18. High pitch screech at high revs on my Octavia scout 90k miles. Car has been parked for a couple months with me turning it on here and there and driving around never had this issue. Changed the radiator pack recently and new coolant, sometimes I hear sloshing around when I turn it off. The other day I started it and on driving it a little at high revs it makes a horrible screech sound! Don’t know where it came from but very m random. Haven’t been using much as looking for a bumper for it as it’s damaged
