HI ,thaks to who ever responded to my enquiery. I have resolved the problem thus. thanks to G&A salvage in Great Yarmouth, I perchased a window motor/module which came off a 2007 octavia estate and now my rear off side door locks and window works just as it should. With ref to Part no. I was looking for one that started with 1K.....The part I ended buying started with 5K.... Turns out It,s the same part but 5K means off an estate, not a saloon. One happy hector, jobs a good'n.

Hello, I'm a newbie here. I have an Octavia FSI mk2 petrol 2.0l 2007. The rear off-side pasenger door does not lock, fault traced to the module on the electric window motor after having purchased a new door lock unit. I swapped the window module with the L/H window module and hey presto lock works. Looing on line for a replacement module, does it matter that the replacement part is off a diesel modle, as I can not seem to find a unit that exactly matches the part number on my duff unit. It's the last letters of part number that seem to differ. Can anyone advise please
