Thanks for all the suggestions which I checked without success. Sat in car during torrential downpour and no source of leak. Took car to garage, they repaired the rubber strip but they dont think this is the where the leak is coming from but to test it over the next couple of days and if still leaking to take to a coachworks. Checked, tailgate seal, lights, wiper and grommet Also hosed it and couldn’t see leak source and had it on the ramp to check underneath without success. Back to the drawing board...

I had thought if rainwater there would be more water but suppose depends how long it started, was only on Saturday bringing the shopping in and the bags were wet underneath that we noticed. Drying it out just now as had a few dry days, to be rain on Saturday, will check afterwards then will hose down after that. Lights and wiper grommet looked ok today.

There is screenwash which is coloured and scented but the water was clear and no odour.

Even more water in the boot well, used the back wiper and fluid Sat on bumper ledge, could this be source?

Hi First post although have used the site for answers to Octavia issues. I have a leak in the boot, I don't think it is the tailgate rubber seal as the other seal on the left side has come away. 2020 octavia se technology tsi. Should have taken a pic in daylight but trying to get the name of the rubber strips on the boot like the attached image? Alex
