    Legend! Having searched that part number you are spot on and I've found them available. Looks like I need a complete 'Sleeve 3T0827317C' as well because the aluminium bit is missing from mine. Likely someone removed it after the retainer broke so the boot still worked. Thank you!

    I tried to add a photo but couldn't edit the post. 2.0 TDI hatchback. Servicing was a doddle. Next up is timing belt. Doesn't look too tricky.

    On my Mk2 2011 the plastic bit labelled 1 is broken and the retainer has been removed. Are replacements available? Thank you!

    This up for a song 92,000 miles full service history. Had some paint overspray on it. I've had to polish the whole thing. It's come up quite nice now to maintain it!
