Hi there, I recently purchased a used Škoda Fabia MK1 1.2 HTP 12v (2007) from a garage in Slough. It was a part exchange/sold as seen vehicle w/ 2 previous owners, very clean example with barely any marks. Whilst test driving the vehicle was smooth and no concerning noises. The driver side window was broken and they fixed it on the spot before purchase. As I drove home from the garage, about half an hour in, I was in a start and stop traffic and notice the idle dropping before starting again. As I carried on, after about another 10 mins of driving, the car lost power suddenly at a red light, I had to turn the key to restart it, it restarted instantly. I made it home and checked the OBD scanner, only code that came up was system too lean, which after checking the service history papers was diagnosed prior from another garage about 10 years back, which is when they replaced the MAP sensor. I've owned the car for a month and it drives smooth and idles fine, only after half an hour does it show any of these symptoms again; only at lower gears or whilst idling for a long time at red lights or long queues; sudden loss of power or idle drops and restarts again, but once I turn the key it powers up instantly with no issues, the issue might repeat every 10/15 mins. After some research online, some possible problems could be the crankshaft sensor or throttle body. I checked the throttle body, I will clean it but it's far from filthy, haven't checked the sensor yet. I wanted to post this to see if anybody else has had this issue before as I can't find anything on the forum close to this. No real codes, the rest of the stuff on the scanner is normal, no engine lights or any other warnings on the dash. Also, if anybody knows good garages around Wallington, South/South West London area, please note below. Thanks for any advice.
