It's not update related, I've had an auto electrician look at it and it's definitely the screen not registering the button is being pressed.

Skoda main dealer wants £1500+ so I will not use main dealer! Since the menu button stopped working on my infotainment screen I've decided to replace it with a second hand OEM unit from a car with almost the exact same reg (both 70 REG) Looking for advice on how it is removed and will it need coding, it is the screen only! Thank you.

Coincidentally I do find this engine runs better on super, no noticeable power difference just smoother power delivery.

Hello, sadly I didn't get the information I was looking for. Although I did watch a video on YouTube about a guy with an Audi 2.0l that replaced his failing Dual Mass Flywheel, got his car remapped then within a year his DMF failed again. He blamed the remap but I'm not convinced it would cause a DMF to fail that quickly. I am not a mechanic though so maybe it could.

Sometimes it feels like there is a misfire even when engine is at running temp, car is 70 reg 43500 miles and regularly serviced (most recently 2 weeks ago) however they didn't change the sparks plugs because they're long life with multiple end points mechanic said around 80K miles is usually when they're due to be changed. Is there any known issues with this engine? I always use shell fuel E10 petrol.

Anyone had theirs remapped and was it worth it? Is there any added strain to the clutch/turbo or fuel pump/injectors?

Can one be fitted to an early MK4 that did not come with auto dimming mirror?

Anyone? Could a local garage see infotainment system errors/issues with their own diagnostic equipment? Or does it need to be a Skoda garage?

The infotainment system Menu button stopped working on my Octavia about 2 years ago. While in Skoda today to talk about buying the car outright they said there is a £180 diagnostic fee and some goodwill as the car isn't 5 year old (til December). Is there anywhere in the Durham area that can look at it or does anyone know a fix?
