  1. Thank you for answering all my questions
  2. Last set of questions and then I’ll leave you in peace! I promise. How complicated is all of that? Are there any straightforward guides you can point me in the direction of?
  3. Is swapping from one to two sd unit a straight plug and play? Or would additional actions be needed?
  4. Thanks for that detailed response @pab567 , soldering is definitely a step too far for me! That it requires soldering means I should also stop looking at someone doing it remotely for me! Appreciate it. Would swapping my single sd card unit in the glove box for a double one mean I could use a sd card patch to activate it? Or would the display unit also need to be changed?
  5. Hi @pab567 , any tips or advice on helping me get this sorted?
  6. Super, is it difficult, could you point me in the direction of a guide?
  7. I spoke with them, unfortunately they don’t work with systems which just have one sd card slot in the glovebox. Do you have 1 or 2? Any guides or posts you could recommend?
  8. Hi there, I have a MK3 2017 Octavia which displays the bring to dealer notification when I click the Smartlink option. I did speak with a dealer who confirmed CarPlay could be activated but that it would cost €390. From some googling I am getting lots of conflicting advice if it is or isn’t possible to activate via an either a sd card, obd Ethernet cable, green engineering menu or not at all. I can’t seem to find a step by step guide to follow all the way through. I have just the one sd card slot in the glove box. I believe it might be the Bolero system. My train number is MST2_EU_SK_ ZR_P0359T. So wise BRISKODA forum, is it possible to do diy or an aftermarket person? Or do I need to pay the dealer the cash?
  9. Hi from Ireland. Recently bought a second hand mk3 Octavia 2017 that was previously a little unloved, needs a little tlc, but is solid underneath. The 1.6 diesel in brown metallic. Figure with a little care and attention - and advice from here I can give it back some shine and have it keep going for many more years yet.
