  1. Hi all, Karoq SEL Edition owner, 75 plate: I understand you have to have an optional 'light' package on the car to be able to select LHD or RHD lights in the infotainment settings. My old Tiggy had this. My current vehicle does not. Without the package I am sure the car will not (via GPS or similar) detect your location and alter light pattern automatically, HOWEVER I'm sure I read in the car manual when all shiny & new that the modern headlights do not dazzle abroad when in use (so no sticky strips from Halfords). There is the option to adjust them vertically due load weight but not to alter the 'sweep' - illumination direction. If anyone can find that reference in a Karoq manual....... Cheers PD
  2. Thx folks for the replies, Williami33 - that sounds exactly it, bong for one speed zone to another when driving. I find the double dings useful for speed limits when in unfamiliar areas based on sign sensing. Thx. PD
  3. 1.5 tsi Auto/petrol still nearly mint and still getting to grips with all the tech features. Generally a very nice car - comfy & economical. So, I hear and appreciate the speed warning (two dings) based on sign sensing, useful in this day and age. I also hear a single lower tone 'bong' that I think may be speed over limit threshold setting but cant be sure?? It's deffo not ice outside warning/park lights when stationary/open doors or VNe (for those with an aviation inclination). I'm sure the answer is somewhere in the forum - any offers?? Thx PD
  4. No, try this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/PNY-128GB-Elite-X-Type-C-Flash/dp/B0F38G46TV?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 Your link might not have been usb-c. HTH PD
  5. Yup, as Lee01 said they still show on Amazon UK for the sum of £10.33. PD
  6. All, Getting to grips with tech, no SD card slot in the new Karoq and I don't tend to keep a lot of music on my phone. FWIW I purchased a usb-c micro flash (PNY 64gb elite x fit) that is tiny and more importantly fits beautifully in the 2nd (to the right) usb-c socket in the front console and allows the slider cover to be closed if desired. If put in the other slot it just catches on the cover - doh! Probably enough music now to drive to Oz and back. PD
  7. Thanks for the heads up all - no tinkering down there then. I thought the 'PC unit' was directly behind the screen. Memories of my old 6 cd changer on a VW Bora back in the day... Thx PD
  8. Having taken delivery of a new Karoq SEL 1.5tsi Edition petrol&auto I was surprised to find in the glovebox what appears to be a blanking plate for a cd player sized unit! Bit of an oddity in this day and age, anybody managed to repurpose the space for anything more useful assuming that is what is was? I think the plastic plate just levers off. Also, didn't do my due diligence - no USB-c chargers in the rear passenger area? Only the tight pesky pair in the front console or have I missed something? Thanks PD
  9. Hello All, Just got delivery of a 'mint in box' Karoq SEL Edition petrol auto - replaces a much loved Tiguan SEL Evo that was getting a bit aged. My better half already has a Yeti which persuaded me to go with Skoda this time. Cheers.
