I can't recall anything changing depending on what I do, the only thing that braking affects is vehicle speed, which in turn slows down the sound. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm coasting or under load, as it is a persistent noise that goes away, when the components warm up. But to answer, it does it in both. I'd say it doesn't increase while cornering, as I have tried doing that while I could hear it and nothing changed. Neither forward or reverse seems to affect it. I tried moving the wheels, but in that case to check closer I should have to remove the wheels, as for the winter I'm using ones similar to van wheels (don't know the exact terminology for this). Do you suggest, that I should do this? To add: I also have a oil change coming up, dash shows 300km more, so should I check for something there?

Jacked both of the front wheels up just now and rotated each for about 5 mins, didn't hear anything similar to the noise I hear. Didn't see point in jacking up the back of the car, as I hear the noise as coming from the front.

So I should take wheels off and take a look in between there?

I have a 2017 Octavia III Combi 1.4 TSI CZDA, which has recently started to make some sort of ticking noise, when everything is still cold, the sound happens only when in motion in a range of about 15-30 kmh, it also appears to be sped up by vehicle speed, not engine speed. My first idea was that it could be something in the front axle, but as I am new to this I don't have much of an idea. Do any of you have a suggestion to what I should be looking at?
