  1. It can be significant without much effort. Is there a possibility that some remote device would work with my Škoda?
  2. I have a 2017 Skoda Fabia 3 and I’d like to retrofit a steering wheel with multifunction buttons that would fully work with my existing multimedia system. How complicated is this job, and is it actually possible considering that the current steering wheel has no buttons at all?
  3. I can't send him a message since I'm a new member and I can only hope that he sees the message here and responds to me. I'm working hard on the forum, but with my knowledge, it will take me half a year of being active on the forum.
  4. Hi everyone, I have a 2018 Škoda Fabia with an MST2 infotainment unit and I would like to add Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, while keeping the original display and keeping the upgrade as cheap as possible. My unit does NOT have the SmartLink icon in the menu, and it is also a non-navigation unit. Here are the exact details from my system: - Hardware part number: 5Q0 035 819 C - Software version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0468T - MU software version: 0468 - System software: H29.319.29.3_STD2_EU Could someone please confirm: 1. Can this specific MST2 unit support SmartLink (CarPlay / Android Auto) if activated via coding / firmware, or is it hardware-locked? 2. Since my unit does not show the SmartLink icon, is activation still possible, or would I need a replacement unit? 3. If activation is not possible, what is the cheapest and most reliable solution to add Android Auto / CarPlay while keeping the original screen (e.g. interface box, decoder, etc.)? 4. Are the aftermarket MIB2 interface boxes (AliExpress-type CarPlay/AA modules) a good option for this unit? Any advice from people who retrofitted SmartLink on a Fabia 3 (2018) would be really appreciated. Thanks!
