Hi guys, I have a 2016 Mk3 1.4 TDI engine with 90 hp with 150k km on it. I have the car for a year now. For few months I am experiencing things with the car that drives me crazy. It all started 3 months ago, when on each drive, when the water temp reached (or close to) 90 degrees the engine had a very short interruption while accelerating. It was hardly noticeable in the beginning but I felt it. No errors whatsoever. After a month, the interruption shock started to be more brutal. After few episodes like this during each drive, car could run endlessly without any bugs. Again with no errors. 2 months ago, it popped the yellow spiral during heavy load, and when it was on, car ran perfectly fine, without any hiccups. After few drives in this situation, engine started to shut down while running (either when idling or when coming to a stop at an intersection) and having weird idle. Went to a shop, MAF sensor and engine speed sensor errors came up. Changed both sensors, car went for a day with no errors than it started to hesitate while driving (with the gas peddle in the same position, engine speed was increasing and decreasing enough to be sensed inside the car). Injection sound was louder than usual Went to the shop, MAF sensor (P0101 (implausible signal) and now EGR P0402(excess flow) errors displayed. I assumed that the error on the MAF (that was already new) is caused by the EGR and decided to go to the shop and buy the EGR valve. Car went fine for a day, then the same behavior and errors popped up (hesitation/lagging behavior, power is delivered differently (starts pulling above 2750 rpm) and the yellow spiral is on. This is where I don't know the exact information. From the shop, I had the invoice for the EGR (PN04B131501C) but guys also mentioned that they checked a valve, tested under minimum and maximum voltage and that this was working and they decided not to change it. From what I look now on the internet, after the Part number from the invoice, it looks like it's a whole assembly (both electronics and mechanical components). Today I went on a VCDS guy, having the spiral and check engine lights on. Hooked the VCDS, cleared the errors (again, MAF and EGR excess flow), did the EGR valve test, calibrated the EGR and the MAF sensor. Everything perfect. I took the car on road tests for 30 minutes, everything looked fine (pulls like it used to do, no errors, no variations between bank 1 and bank 1 values on the EGR NO NOTHING. Paid the guy, left and when entering the highway, the exact behavior occurs : spiral flashing, car hesitates when constant load, power delivered in a different range and a more louder injection. Car has no smoke whatsoever, DPF is working. The only thing to mention apart from the ones above, is that it has a sissing (like some air escaping the exhaust) but from what I can remember, it always did this. Please, do you have any suggestions on what should I do next? I am exhausted with this, lost 800 euros on tests, parts and I still do not have a working car. Thank you all in advance for any piece of advice shared.
