  1. Does anyone have any other ideas on what I could check or look into? I have access to VCDS, ThinkDiag 2 and OBD Eleven, so I can check things with those tools as well if needed.
  2. I tried that today (disabled it, left it off for a full start/run cycle, then re-enabled it), but unfortunately it didn’t change anything. CH/LH still doesn’t work. Oeh
  3. I actually haven’t tried that yet yes. 🙂 I’ll give it a try tomorrow, disable it, leave it off for one full start/run cycle, then re-enable it and see what happens. I’ll report back whether it helps or not. In the meantime, if anyone has any other ideas, feel free to share them.🙂
  4. Given that the infotainment shows 15 s, I’m wondering if the BCM has any separate or overriding timing parameters for Coming/Leaving Home?
  5. Checked that already – Coming/Leaving Home duration is set to 15 s in the infotainment, so activation time shouldn’t be the issue. “I’m out of ideas at this point🙂
  6. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks for the suggestion. I already posted the same issue in the Octavia section right after this — this one was posted here by mistake.
  8. Yes, the 12V battery has been tested. The battery was also replaced with a new one this spring. In addition to the battery, all basic things have been checked. A friend with ODIS also re-coded the car again to be sure, but it did not change anything. Im out of ideas.
  9. Sorry, I accidentally posted this topic in the wrong section. I thought this was not the correct place.
  10. Hello :). Yes, the headlight switch is in AUTO position. I have already checked and tested this many times. CH/LH worked before in the same conditions, but now it does not. I have also checked coding, adaptations, live data (light sensor, night mode), door status and no faults are present.
  11. Hello, I’m having an issue with Coming Home / Leaving Home (CH/LH) lights on my Škoda Octavia Mk4 (2021, MQB Evo). The function worked correctly before (last year and a few months ago), but now it no longer behaves as expected. Problem description: CH/LH does not activate when: unlocking the car with the remote at night opening the driver’s door in the dark. Headlights and parking lights stay off Only the mirror puddle lights sometimes turn on, often with a delay (≈5 seconds after closing the door), which seems illogical. Interior lights work correctly when doors are opened. Door status is correctly detected (door open/closed shows properly in live data). No fault codes related to CH/LH, doors, BCM or light sensor. Light sensor shows 0 lux in full darkness. Vehicle status shows Night Mode = Active. Previously CH/LH worked in the same parking conditions (street lights, shop parking lots, etc.) What I have checked / done: Verified CH/LH enabled in infotainment menu. Checked Central Electronics / BCM coding and adaptations. Checked Driver’s Door and Passenger Door electronics, all is correct. Day/Night mode. Ambient light values. IR / Forward light thresholds. Checked light switch coding and installation list. No recent BCM update (only infotainment was updated). Tested with OBDeleven and ThinkDiag Looked for BAP / menu control channels related to CH/LH No wiring issues detected. No relevant DTCs stored Confusing behavior Sometimes mirror lights activate late CH/LH does not activate even though: Night Mode is active. Ambient light is 0 lux. Function clearly worked before with the same conditions. QUESTION.. Has anyone experienced similar behavior after software changes on MQB Evo? Is there a known BCM / light logic change that makes CH/LH more restrictive? Are there specific BAP or CH/LH trigger channels that might disable CH/LH even when everything looks correct? Should CH/LH still activate under street lighting if Night Mode is active? Any technical insight is welcome. Thanks.
