    If you have the keyless entry active I find the lock and unlock feature useful. I have walked away from the car several times locking my passenger in the vehicle and returning to find the alarm going off! Now I walk away and can unlock the car without this issue. I am sure there is a setting to leave an animal in the car to get around this problem but I haven't found it yet.
