Many thanks for the reply. I opened the switch up and everything was very corroded inside, so I just ordered a new one which was cheap enough. I didn't understand there were two types, so fingers crossed I got the right one. cheers

I left my front drivers window open for a couple of weeks while away, and I now have a footwell full of water. That's OK, the problem I have is the front window now won't go up. I've removed the switch from the door, and tipped out the water, and have ordered a new one. However, I can't raise it at all. The question - can I short across any of these terminals to send the signal to do it? Much appreciated if you can help. thanks, Roger
