Hi All, New to BRISKODA, I've just purchased a brand new Kamiq 1.0 TSI EVO 116 Manual Monte Carlo Edition in the rather bold and bright Moon White Metallic. I've had the car for just over a week now, and since day one I've been experiencing some issues with the car. Firstly, the bite point on the clutch seems extremely high, especially compared to the previous 1.0 VAG cars I've driven including the Polo and another Kamiq both of which were also brand new. I've also been piloting a MK8.5 VW Golf as a rental car before the Kamiq arrived, 1.5 TSI Manual, with a "normal" clutch. On my car, any form of movement in reverse is practically on the verge of stalling. But worst of all, there seems to be a loud creaking sound and a deep rumble coming from the clutch in 1st gear with the pedal slightly after the bite point. This has been getting worse since I collected the car, and has now become present at all times in all conditions. I had to creep backwards on a medium gradient today on a country lane and I thought it wasn't going to do it. There is also a clonk into first gear, especially when cold. I know there was some previous experiences of premature clutch failure on Kamiqs early on in production, and the majority of my symptoms match with what those people were experiencing, minus being unable to get the car into gear. However, I haven't seen anything about clutch failure recently. I've checked the door seals, and the springs for signs of creakage, but I can't replicate the noise unless pulling away from a standstill. I've also been faced with other issues such as the alarm constantly going off at completely random intervals with the pan-roof blind open, as well as a visibly rattling dashboard. Lastly, there is also an intermittent issue with the infotainment system where Laura totally throws a wobbly and won't answer you, as well as where the screen does something completely different to what you've pressed. The gesture swiping thing has never worked either. Terrific. The car is booked in with the dealer for the middle of March because I need a courtesy car. It's getting to the stage where the creaking is audible from the outside of the car and even with the radio on. Should I try Skoda Assist for some help? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
