    Hi, could someone please advise me which connector PIN to use for +12 V and ground so that the instrument cluster backlight on a pre-facelift Škoda Octavia II lights up when the cluster is on a bench (outside the car)? Is it necessary to have the Gateway, BLM, and light switch connected, or can I turn it on without them? And if anyone happens to have the actual wiring diagram / pinout for the black 36‑pin instrument cluster connector, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for any help!
